I’m a regular voice on Tom Idle’s awesome Better Business Show. Each week, we discuss the goings on in sustainable business.
Since hover cars don’t exist yet, this “straddling bus” in China might be the next best thing, giving you the glee of driving over your fellow commuters. Pretty neat, right? It can carry up to 1,400 passengers and would replace 40 conventional buses, if it’s implemented – they’re testing a full scale model in the next couple of months. Watch this space. With a modest top speed of 40mph, at least it’s not going to be hogging the middle lane. Best of all, the car-eating-bus is said to hoover up nearly 2,500 tons of carbon emissions every year. That’s the equivalent of watching your 42 inch LCD TV for 1,709 years continuously!! That’s a lot of back-to-back Netflix (for you and many future generations).
Plus, adidas x Parley have come up with a swarve new trainer made from ocean plastic that money can’t buy (only a winning Instagram entry can), M&S gets its customers onboard in a community solar project and with just days to go, we chat all things EU referendum – what’s the greener choice?
Jump to 19:44 for our chinwag. Plus, what’s getting the world’s green journalists most excited right now? Tune in to the rest of the show to find out.
Happy listening 🙂
